I wonder if the same Wikipedia logic is applicable to OSS actvities, say, in github: too many changes point to the lack of stability (aka lack of trust in a more general sense), zero activity might point out that the project is dead. In my practice, if the last push to github was more than a couple of months ago, it makes me suspicious that the project might not be maintained anymore.
